They want the boosted articles to be safe for public consumption, but with true crime stories, many contain grisly details. I imagine the same goes for fiction that is too gruesome and scary. I have trouble reading graphic violence and gore myself, so I actually appreciate this. Especially as not everyone includes content warnings!
