It has always been interesting to me to consider what others see when they look at me. One view is that I am a tall, white, straight, (rich - not!) doctor. Another would be Jew (I don't "look the part") who while married to a Black woman lived in the South and whose son is (obviously) biracial (but doesn't look obviously biracial) Two views of exactly the same dude.
