I'm doing as you suggest in your story and have been for 2.5 years. Thankfully, I don't write for money or fame because I have neither after the effort. Medium is a fun place to build a small community of fellow writers but Medium's lack of attention to getting attention for writers is a mystery at best. Their lack of decent communication with their writers is a second mystery and simply weird as heck for a communication-based platform. Onward.
