As the day wore on, other people reported that their views were also tremendously inflated. Some writers theorized that perhaps a disgruntled member or former member had spent the evening opening stories and running, or someone was targeting certain writers. Others suggested a more likely scenario, where it was just another Medium glitch. I’m not sure if we will ever know the answer.
