Hi Lucy - thank you for yet another super fine contribution to "DF." I always love what you have to say and your "voice" (Panic stricken in this case. How very Freudian of you to trash your PhD thesis :-)

I've clapped with vigor, read with interest and tweeted with gusto so the world will know of your misdeeds.

Note - IDK if this is relevant/important to you (it is not to me) but limericks have a certain cadence. I think lines one, two and five are "supposed" to be 8 to 9 syllables and lines 3 and 4 are "supposed" to have 4 or 5 syllables. Then the poem gets read out in a certain way. The classic is "There once was a man from Nantucket. Whose d%$k was so long he could s#@k it." and so forth.
